A Visit to Southface
A few weeks ago, while attending the NASCSP conference in Atlanta, Georgia, I took an afternoon to visit some friends of the magazine at Southface. Southface promotes comfortable, energy-, water-, and resource-efficient homes, workplaces and communities throughout the Southeast. They have a resource center as well as an education facility for the home performance community. As a newbie to Atlanta and to the Southface offices, I asked for a tour of the building (which is designed to use uses 84% less water and 53% less energy than comparably sized conventional commercial facilities) and the training center. I took lots of pictures on my iPhone, which means I was impressed.
As they say, a picture is worth a thousand words, so please enjoy a mini photo tour of my visit by watching the slideshow below (click on the image to see the caption).
